Privacy Policy

We are the “responsible party” under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). We process personal information lawfully, only for the purposes below, and we do not sell it.

Information we collect

Why we use it

Who we share it with

Only service providers that process data for us, under agreement: hosting and storage [provider, country], email delivery [provider], PayFast (payments), Cloudflare (security), analytics [e.g. Google Analytics], WhatsApp provider (only if you opt in) and an AI provider [name] (only when you use an AI tool, and only to produce your result). We do not publish your CV or contact details. We share information with authorities where the law requires it. Some providers store data outside South Africa; we take steps to ensure adequate protection as POPIA requires.

Security and retention

We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls, private file storage and backups. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify you and the Information Regulator of a breach as the law requires. We keep data only as long as needed: account data until you delete your account [plus up to 30 days for backups]; CVs until you delete them or close your account; payment records [5 years for tax purposes]; scam reports and security logs [period].

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, object to processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of marketing. Use account settings or email [email]. You can also complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za). We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 without a parent or guardian’s consent.

Terms and Conditions

What we are

We publish job and opportunity listings gathered from official and permitted sources, and from verified employers. We are not an employer, and we do not guarantee that you will get an interview or a job. Each listing links to its original source. Always confirm details with the employer before applying.

Free access

You never have to pay to view genuine vacancies or the official application details. Paid plans are optional extras such as CV and career tools.

Verification labels

“Verified source” means the listing came from an official employer or government source. “Under review” means we are still checking. Labels reflect our checks at the time and are not a guarantee. If someone asks you for money to apply, do not pay, and report it.

Accounts

You must give accurate information, keep your password private and be at least 18. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Employers

Employers must be genuine, may only post real vacancies they are entitled to advertise, must not charge applicants, and must keep listings accurate. Listings are reviewed before publication, and we may remove any listing. Employers may be posted about on our Facebook Page and other channels.

Third-party sites and AI tools

We are not responsible for employer or other third-party websites. AI-generated CVs, letters and advice may contain mistakes; check them before use.

Intellectual property

The site design, branding and software belong to us. Employer names, logos and listing text belong to their owners and are shown with attribution to the source. You keep ownership of your CV and content, and give us permission to process it only to provide the service you request.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses from reliance on listings, employer conduct, or service interruptions. Nothing here limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act or other laws that cannot be excluded.

General

South African law governs these terms, and the courts of [city/province] have jurisdiction. We may update these terms and will tell you of material changes. Contact us at [email] with any complaint.

Cookie notice

We use essential cookies (sign-in, security, remembering your choices) which the site needs to work. With your consent we also use analytics cookies [Google Analytics] to understand how the site is used. You can accept or refuse non-essential cookies in the cookie banner [to be added] and change your choice at any time in your browser settings.

Acceptable use and reporting scams

Do not post false, misleading or unlawful listings, ask applicants for payment, collect others’ personal information, upload malware, abuse our forms, scrape the site, or try to bypass our security. Use Report this job on any listing or the Contact page to report a scam. We record every report, investigate, and may flag or remove a listing while we do. We may report fraud to the SAPS and relevant authorities.
